Step 1
Research the subject and gather your evidence
Each module starts with a research and preparation section that gives you a selection of references and sites to visit. At each stage you are told what the minimum evidence required should be, and prompted to upload it and either drag and drop it into the text or save in the evidence gallery as an appendix item. Armed with this information it is an easy task to visit the sites, access the journals, take the photos and upload everything you need to complete the module before you even start.
Whenever you encounter a new learning need you are given the opportunity to access the on line personal development portfolio - a working real time document that will demonstrate your progress through the skills.
Step 2
Complete the structured questions, adding your own evidence
Over the years we have developed a system of breaking each skill down into small manageable sections or paragraphs, responses for each section are prompted by individual questions for you to ponder and reflect upon. When completed, at the press of a button these text boxes are compiled into your printable portfolio, complete with cover and contents page, and all relevant pieces of evidence, references and appendices.
Once you have begun completing the text it is always encouraging to get some feedback. With coreskillsonline.com you can appoint a mentor or tutor who can access your work remotely and leave messages for you - they can even read your evidence to check it is acceptable. Step 3
Compile your finished portfolio at the click of a button, complete with table of contents, cross references and evidence
We can't do the work for you - all we can do is ensure you work at maximum efficiency and don't waste a minute. With each skill being broken down into small sections, even if you have just half an hour spare you can do something productive. When all is finished you have a choice either to maintain your work online or to download everything as a PDF file.
